Happy Birthday Capricorn!
This birthday year is significant, especially if you are born on New Year's or the surrounding days. The other key birthdays are those that surround January 15. Eclipses, lunar and solar surround the above mentioned dates, which spells significant changes for those natives with their birthdays close/and/or planets near those degrees.
The first eclipse is a lunar eclipse at 10 degrees Cancer. For men and women, this easily could mean an emotional change or a new outlook. Sometimes there is a profound transformation going on within that starts reflecting externally. This scenario is the easiest to experience. The energy comes from within for positive change. The other scenario is an event will trigger the transformation, having the same end result.
The “impossible happens” is the only way to describe the eclipse. The impossible can become a reality. So even though the event appears extremely negative, let it play out. With a lunar eclipse, it can take as long as 18 months! Your first clue could be as soon as January 7 or January 27 (also look to events around these dates that could impact you emotionally: like winning Publisher's Clearing House!). By all means do not decide at this point, that you know the story. You do not. Look at 6 months, and 1 year too. Honor the 18 month period.
The second eclipse is a Solar eclipse. The timing and the nature of events could be quite different. A solar eclipse whether we are male or female deals with your energy levels. It is quite possible someone born around those dates could decide it is time “to get into shape.” Whether it is a visit to the Doctor or a hard look in the mirror, you will be “transforming your look” and “rebuilding your body and energy.” Avoid wild diets. Another interpretation to this eclipse would be for a man, an identity crisis, and for a woman, a re-look at her male choices in her life. For both sexes, career matters could be up for grabs. The timing for those with planets at 25 Capricorn and born one day either way of January 15 will be 3, 6 and a 12 months from the date. At the beginning you might “think” you know the story. You only see events unfolding. With the perspective of a year or more, you will understand.
Eclipses always pack surprises, and will this year, as will this whole birthday period. You roll into Capricorn time 2009 with Mars, (anger, sex and frustration) going retrograde. This event is a strong marker for the next year. You will be in some key realm of your life dealing with the above mentioned feelings as they emerge. Your job here is to learn to express your not-so-nice feelings in a manner that others can hear. For many this could involve joint finances, financial dealings in general with others and most possibly emotional issues revolving around partnerships. Though taking responsibility for your part of the tango might be important, formalizing decisions is a mistake. Also an error is beginning new relationships during this time period that ends in March. I think just for reference the best example of a Mars retro loose is the movie: War of the Roses. No one wants a bad ending like that.
Though the retrograde will end March 10, 2010 because it was present in your solar return, your birthday chart, you might be facing issues related to the above throughout the year. Do not lose patience. Know you are finally working out some heavy issues, preparing you for an even better life.
On tap for early-born Capricorns also will be Pluto, the planet that is associated with the legend of the dying Phoenix. By the way Phoenix, Arizona was named for this legend. The beautiful bird--the Phoenix--went up in flames to crash, burn and appeared dead. Only when The Phoenix came back it was so much more beautiful and transformed from what it had been.
Without question, by now, you understand this is the planet of transformations, and nothing it touches will every be the same. The first ten days are feeling the demand of this planet, which is pushing for growth and rebirth. If you fight this inner transformation, you could discover the true power of Pluto as it might toss a life boulder or two to make you stop, think and GROW. You cannot fight this powerful planet, rather, be smart, go with its energy. The weeks around April 6, and September 13, 2010 to see more specifically how and if the planet makes impact.
Pluto is the playmate trying to hold two very strong planets from completely coming to blows. Uranus and Saturn continue their ongoing dance which started in Fall 2008.
At different points in this year Saturn, the planet of conservative values and status quo, will oppose Uranus, the planet of enlightenment and radical new concepts.
Understand the opposition will test the status quo. In your case, the quality of your communications will be tested. Day-to-day life will witness changes. Uranus will say: walk in a new direction. Saturn will encourage you to hold onto safe places. The more you drop your mental filters, the more open you become, the easier the year will be. Bring on the new without using the values of the old.
Uranus wherever it is on your chart has an unique way of making nerves raw; We learn what we expect is not what we will get, and our true openness is tested. March 26 and July 26, 2010 will find this opposition of the titans exact. Do observe what happens during the periods around these dates. Events might clue you in to when to let go.
You cannot and should not even try to sit on the status quo this year, especially if it looks rocky. Uranus moves into the sign Aries May 28, 2010 squaring your sign and Pluto. Pluto at the base could help you transform with finesse, if you are willing to let go and simply not worry. The good news is this stellar performance is but a preview as by August 14, Uranus will be back retrograding into Pisces, where it has been for 7 years.. This event could be more than enough to point where changes are absolutely necessary.
Saturn also not to be left out will be tripping through Libra though will exit on April 7 until July 23, 2010. Truth be told this opposition is in effect all year but will be exact on March 26, 2010 and July 26, 2010.
Just do not fight to hold on to what is, be willing to grow. Your greatest stumbling block this year easily could be you. Do not interfere please with progress. It is highly likely if you have your sun in Capricorn that you do not have other planets in your birth sign. Even if you are born in the January part of Capricorn, you could still feel these planets doing the rumba in your inner soul or life.
To add to the excitement, Jupiter as of mid January 2010 will start racing through Pisces. This planet represents lady luck, and in general brings only good. However as with the candies,“Good and Plenty,” there are pink, white and a few black ones in a box. For those who get a pink and white, you are on cruise control. Occasionally, Jupiter provides a “black” candy. This event though unpleasant is unusual and is there to clear away whatever is preventing you from receiving the goodies Jupiter would like to bestow on you.
Though Jupiter is traditionally in one sign for a year, this year it skips out of Pisces, much like Uranus for a short period in Aries. We are looking at the period between June 7 and Sept 10, 2010. It will needless to say be involved in the Uranus Saturn opposition, adding more power and force to Uranus. Events around November 17, 2010 will give you greater insight into the mechanism at work.
When Jupiter is in Aries, you often might feel overwhelmed especially personally or domestically. The good news is that you also have the options and the wherewithal to handle what comes up. Do trust in your strength and endurance. You will meet the needs of the moment.
Jupiter in Pisces will increase your day-to-day happiness. You will discover others are more responsive--finally. A new car or better communications will head in your direction during this period too. Meeting people, expanding your circle and just stretching in new ways happens naturally.
The final big transit of the year is that of Neptune--the planet that creates dreams but also can be responsible for creating illusions. Be careful, especially dealing with your finances. You, yes you, often at night, might wonder where you spent all that money. Money will seem to dissolve in your hand. Also that great deal that comes your way, just might not be such a great deal. Return if you can instantaneously to the cynic. You are in the last year of this transit where one must take off their rose colored glasses with any money venture at all. Key dates around this transit are May 30, 2010 and Dec 6, 2010. For some of you, you might not even feel it you are such an expert in handling this planet in this position.
Finally, the summer eclipse cycle will be June 26, 2010, and this is a lunar eclipse, most likely to impact those born around Christmas.
